Welcome to the Diaspora Intercultural Academy. DIA offers missiological reflection and training to those who feel called to serve God in the areas of Evangelism and Social Involvement among the many diverse cultures in the world. It has a holistic approach to mission theory and practice. You are invited to explore the possibilities of learning more about the Mission of God, Missio Dei, and what all of us are able to do from both biblical, theological, and Church-based Evangelical missiological principles. DIA is involved in equipping the Church of Jesus Christ in three main areas: Mission Theology, Intercultural Studies, and Church-based Community Ministries. Its emphasis is on short programs that will enable the people of God to minister in the world in several capacities. DIA offers several options of ministry to the Christian Church: weekend seminars on Mission and Bible Exposition, distance education courses both in hardcopy and electronically; it is prepared to assist interested students with tailored courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. In its new phase of implementation, DIA is expanding its focus of ministry to churches outside the United States. Along with its ministry in mission related research, literature and intercultural training, DIA is also involved in serving Brazilian and Russian churches by offering continuing education options to pastors and seminary students, providing pastoral and theological education through seminars, conferences, and literature in Portuguese. All related literature in Russian is slowly becoming available. Diaspora Academy aims to form a Center for Cosmopolitan Studies in Brazil. The Center aims to prepare missionaries to reach the migrant populations around the world. It will provide tools for Brazilian missionaries to serve not only the migrant populations in Brazil, but also in many major centers around the world. |
